Learning!
I need a lot of practice to learn how to use WordPress. I guess there are a lot of options to format and insert graphics etc., but all I want to do is type and occasionally insert photos. I started using typepad many years ago, at an age when it was much easier to learn new things. I didn’t even have AI, but then I didn’t need it. And I really don’t want to use it now. What I do need is spell correction and I’v not found it yet in editing features available above. Hopefully, someone of the many extremely knowledgeable followers whom I will soon have here will clue me in in the comments!
Now I am going to attempt (why did the print in this paragraph just get lighter? Ah, I had inadvertently (and I just learned spell check is automatic, always have had trouble with tant vs tent), clicked the B above. Now let’s see if I can insert a photo!
1965 airial photo of the “Hicks Place” I was two years old when my parents rented and moved here in 1937. They rented this 140 acre farm until March of 1946. The cone shaped structures and bare space replaced a granary which was to the left of the barn, an unpainted garage building near the house by the trees, and a hen house which was just beyond the cones when we lived there. My father farmed with a team of horses, Dick and Gail, until he bought a used F-14 Farmall tractor during the War. In September 1941 I started school in Ladoga, Indiana, which is about five miles northwest of here. Only the barn remains today.
